Hi Paul & all!
First forum entry here from me - Mark, who has proudly joined Porsche ownership with my 924 purchased June of last year. No excuses for not saying 'hello'! a lot sooner, so sorry for that!
Firstly, i love this car! Secondly, i love this car!!
However, I do have a couple of rather basic/standard questions, so i apologise if this is stuff that has been covered previously.
During rainy periods, there is always a damp patch in the rear hatch on the near side where the carpet lifts to allow access to the 'wine compartment!' I have had Specialist Cars of Malton check this out twice to identify & rectify the cause, but despite several brave efforts, the water is still getting in. The seal which runs around the rear windscreen has been replaced in addition to rubber sealant being added around the spoiler. Any ideas??
Finally, as I am not too technically minded in terms of car maintainance and have limited space in which to work, I would still like to make savings where possible;
For a standard 'service', where should I look to purchase items, such as;
Oil filter
Engine Oil (what type & grade)
Plugs & Points.
Coolant (when needed)
Brake fluid (when needed)
And which brands/make should I go for?
Are the standard auto outlets okay? (cringe)
Thanks in anticipation.
