Badges. Is this the most petty post ever?

Right, new badge arrived already!

No fitting instructions, so could someone measure a couple of things for me so I can at least attempt to get it right? [:D]

On Andy's picture, I guess I could do with:

Distance from bottom lip of the panel to the bottom of the "9"

Distance between the three numbers

Distance between the numbers an the "S", and from the end of the "S" to the seam on the right

And, if I'm being a perfectionist, the distance between the bottom of the "S" and the top of the "2"

Thanks to anyone who braves the cold to measure it for me! [&:]

New one ordered, and despatched within an hour!

Very impressed with Type 911's service for the decal, and the air filter. Prestige parts were great on ebay for the stone guards and rear Porsche script, and Exeter PC sent out the bonnet badge grommits and seal very fast. I do like it when things go smoothly! [:)]

Jeez Paul - you pushing the boat out!!! Don't get too carried away. [:D][:D][:D]

Do you think I'd have believed anything you said, Oli! [:D][:D]

Thanks Phil, that's fantastic. Now to find the car under the snow.....[&o]

SNOW! That's what you get for staying down South, no snow up here in the far North ( don't mean the Midlands).

Alan.

No snow here in the proper south that is Cornwall :( (though think theres a bit on Bodmin Moor).

Martin, Always try Porsche Centre Kendal for parts, Andrew or Jonathon are 2 great lads and go the extra mile for some of our minor asks, tell them you are a club member for your discount and the badge is less than a tenner !

Some of the "specialist" suppliers buy from Porsche then mark bits up substantially ! that said some of the dealer parts are nuts, £50 for a rotor arm, the same Bosch part which does not come in a Porsche box is around £17 elsewhere.

Jim.

New shiny badge fitted, thanks for the guide Phil! [:)]

I made a template from the measurements, so if anyone ever wants a copy I can email it.

Simply cut out the numbers and tape it on the car lined up with the curve of the panel and the weld line,

Put the numbers on through the holes and they're in the perfect position. Rubbish pic, it was fiercely sunny!

Is the red pic true?

Just the S and 2 look like they over lap more 1/3 then 1/2

The silly thing is that they were all put on by hand, and many have been refitted, so there probably aren't two the same anywhere!

Andy's "2" is a little bit more than the halfway point, just over 2/5ths to be exact, but another one I had a pic of was spot on halfway and I just preferred it. Pathetic, really, but it seems that the tiny details mean more to me than the overall respray! [:D][:D]
