Huge thanks to Chris & Pat Johnson for organising this drive. They have spent a long time working out a date with favourable crossing times and liaising with the Mead Shop & hotel staff.
Date: Sunday 1st May 2016
Meet Up: 10.15am
Time for coffee etc and to use facilities at Moorhouse Farm Shop, 21 Station Road, Stannington, Morpeth, Northumberland, NE61 6DX. Tel: 01670 789350. Ian who owns the farm shop is a Porsche driver himself and is always happy to welcome us.
Leave: 10.45/11.00am
Greg to take us on Coastal Route
Arrive at Holy Island: 12.30pm
Allocated parking in front of the Lindisfarne Mead Shop (approx for 15 cars max).
Will be met by rep of above company and visit to shop and showrooms
1.30pm: Lunch at the Manor House Hotel
We can pre-book meals from menu, once the Hotel has supplied me with the new menu. (The hotel is going through refurb at the moment but will open for end of February)
Sightseeing after lunch, visit to Lindisfarne Castle and or Lindisfarne Abbey etc.
Crossing times on the 1st May 2016 – 12.15 until 21.20
This is a first come, first served basis, as Chris says, parking is very limited. Of course, if the parking at the Lindisfarne Mead shop fills, there is still an option to join us on the drive and park in the general car park.
I'm going to jump the gun and get our names on the list first.
