Macan GTS 2022.
The passenger side window mirror should open automatically on start up.
Drivers side does but passenger side not.
I need to manually (push button on door) to close both mirrors to get both to reopen.

Has anyone experienced this and knows the fix as I have had the car into an OPC twice for this problem and each time no solution.

According to the web…….

A Porsche Macan passenger door mirror that does not automatically unfold or fold with the driver-side mirror
usually indicates a settings desynchronization, a need for a manual reset, or, less commonly, a failing mirror motor or potentiometer.

Here are the steps to troubleshoot and fix this issue:

1. Reset/Resynchronize the Mirrors
If the mirrors are out of sync (e.g., one folds, one stays open), you can often reset them by manually forcing them into a synchronized state:

  • Method: Press the power-folding mirror button (on the driver's door panel) to fold them in. If one is already in, try to get both to a fully folded position.
  • Manual Reset: With the ignition on, try to manually push the mirrors all the way forward, then use the power-folding switch to bring them back inward to the folded position.
  • "Stuck" Fix: Sometimes simply pressing the fold button again can "wake up" the passenger mirror.
2. Verify PCM Settings
Ensure that "Auto Fold" (Mirror Retract) is properly enabled in your Vehicle Settings:

  • Navigate to Vehicle -> Settings -> Locking.
  • Ensure the box for Fold Mirrors (or similar) is checked. Important: After changing settings, you must save them to your key by pressing the SET button and then your key button (or memory number) on the door panel.
3. Check for Component Faults (Common Issue)
If the mirrors still don't behave, the passenger side mirror motor may have a faulty potentiometer (a position sensor).

  • Symptoms: The car does not know the correct position of the mirror glass and "guesses".
  • Troubleshooting: This often requires a diagnostic tool (PIWIS) to see if the passenger door lock control unit is reporting a fault code.
  • Fix: The mirror motor/actuator assembly may need replacement.
4. Verify Memory Package (If Applicable)
If your Macan has the memory seat package, the folding function is tied to the memory settings. Ensure your seat and mirror position were properly saved to your key
