REGION 16 CLUB NIGHT AT THE BARBURY SHOOTING SCHOOL- WEDNESDAY 17TH AUGUST 2011

As discussed at our last Club Night, our August Club Night will be held at The Barbury Shooting School for some Clay Shooting. No alternative meeting will be held at the Compass at the same time on that night.

I have made a provisional booking for 14 people for the latest start time of 6.30 pm on Wednesday 17th August. This will be their special " Have a go" session for just £16.66 (plus VAT) per person, and includes basic instruction, "Clays", 20 shots at one simple target, and each person will receive a voucher for a ½ price shooting lesson. They will require a 50% deposit to secure your booking immediately so please send me a cheque for £10.00 per person, made payable to Porsche Club GB (R16) and to Tony Shannon, 4 The Knowle, Stockley Lane, CALNE, Wiltshire SN11 0SE as soon as possible. I will get Club Office to send a cheque to Barbury Shooting School, and you will pay the balance plus any refreshments on the night.

Tea and coffee and a roll will be available in the Club House afterwards, and as we will be finishing quite early I will arrange to go on somewhere afterwards, and I will let you know a few days before, where that will be.

You can find directions on how to get to Barbury Shooting School on their web site at www.barburyshoot.com and for those of you who used to come to the karting it is just beyond the Karting Centre "" along the same road. Please note their advice not to set your sat nav if your are coming from the south "" the sat navs apparently get lost --!!!!!

If we enjoy, we will arrange some further sessions at a later date if this is during the darker evenings it will have to be on either a Saturday or a Sunday morning, and will be their "party programme" which start from £33.29 per person (plus VAT) and gives you 30 shots at a more varied selection of targets.

Tony
