Audible lights on warning?

I don't have an audible lights on warning - I'm seeing on the relay diagram that there is a chime relay but for USA only? Would this do it and can we retrofit it? If not, has anyone here fitted a buzzer?

I find the popped up headlights are a giveaway!!

I know some are wired differently though to be fair but when I have my dipped beam on, the lights don't go down until the light switch is fully off. Also, no, sorry, not looked into a chime.

Thanks Stuart,

I find it’s mostly a problem when I have been driving with sidelights only.

Me too - I still leave them on sometimes as I instinctively drive with sidelights on at all times. I guess the time it won’t start as a result will be all the future reminder I need. Also, it’s a 944 - there’s no way you can park up and not look back at it as you walk away!

Good point [;)]
Would love to know whether the 'USA chime' can be reinstated nonetheless..

Anything is doable and most likely the loom will support this if you could source the right bits from a US car. Alternatively it shouldn't be too tough a job, and one any competent spark could most likely do.

I would assume that the buzzer module is not present in a UK car, and also that there will be a plug on the loom for it. You could be half way there maybe.........

under that relay id the bridge unit, i expect you need the correct one of those as well
why not just wire up a DRL controller to the rear lights and fog lights, then you have them on all the time while driving and see you home fog lamps for 60 seconds too,

Mine, with some birds eye COB leds

have a look at this thread, the relay is the chime, so the relay could be dead

A new relay is £213.32, thats a lot for a ding or two
