Hi Sandeep,

Were you at the Pomeroy Trophy meeting last weekend? I recieved a phone call from Stephen Mummery this morning (Editor of Porshe Post), he was there and saw a black 964 Speedster with hardtop in the car park.

He took a photo and will be including it in the Speedster section of the mag next month.

If it' s not you then I fear that black 964' s with hardtops are becoming awfully common.[:D]

Hi Chris,

Thanks forchecking if it was my car - unfortunately not. My speedster is in fact Midnight Blue with a matching Hardtop.

I have only seen one other car in the UK with a Strosek Hardtop and I think that was near Harrods and the car was a full Strosek Conversion, with a private plate and RHD. With a very happy grinning driver!

It' s actually a good investment to get a hardtop I think, as it lets you drive the car pretty well all year round in the UK and does make the car look more distinctive (if it can be any more so that is!), so the more the merrier!

One very good way to recognise my car is its plate which is ' C2 SPD' .

It' ll be good to see the picture in Porsche Post as there is another hardtop made by Gemballa, which is slightly different (it has a sloping rear screen, whereas mine has a letterbox window with buttresses like a coupe Jag XJS.) The Gemballa one cost a lot more. I can then check which one was spotted.

Also just for info, I got the ride height adjusted and new rear shocks, so the car is not as harsh to drive on london roads as it was before - so my fillings aren' t going to fall out so quickly!!!

Thanks for thinking of a fellow ' speedste' rite![;)]

Also, I hope to visit you all in wales for the speedster weekend for a day, if I can' t make it for the whoe weekend (just in the middle of a house move!)

You had to be a brave man to be at the Pomeroy. It was -4.5 degrees at Silverstone during the morning. The roads had been gritted and the frost was thick in the air. A good turn out from region 10 and 21 though...
