At long last.... as promised... it's here!

ORIGINAL: DSCBoy

almost loath to post this as car really is nothing like these colours... but gives some idea of the workmanship in the leather and carpet...

I don't know why you are worried it looks so tasteful[:D][:D][:D][:D][]

Bet it looks good in the flesh, pink always photographs badly[;)]

Enjoy the beastie and hope to see it soon!

And finally, my screensaver shot...

Price? Very difficult to put a price on a RHD GT3 with lots of Max Power bits on it... but sure Jennings will entertain any bids over the 2 kit-kats he's been offered so far...

Oh u meant mine? Let's just say it was subject to lots of wriggling after we worked out what it was...

You really need to take some of your own pictures Rick ............................ asap please

Will post some of mine when she's finished !!

I can vouch for the interior colour, it is a very tasteful matt burgundy, great contrast to the carpet and the quality of the materials and the work is absolutely outstanding!

By the way if your a*** feels a bit numb after a while it's because the normal layer of padding under the seat cushions has been taken out-previous owner nust have been looking for a slightly lower driving position.

Look forward to seeing it again but there is now way I am going to try and keep up[:D]

Des,
To answer your question, I now have an MOT + Insurance and will be toddling off to register it on Friday this week-cant wait!
Cheers,
Kevin.

I saw this car a couple of months ago, a LOT of money has clearly been spent on that interior. Leather everywhere!
First thing i did was take the padding out from under the seats in my car otherwise I just felt too high in the seat. Don't think it should make that much difference to the comfort...

Hmm, sadly padding had been added back.... but clubsports weren't really designed for 7 hour stints at the wheel I don't think...
About to embark on the final 600km home tonight... then a big clean up on Sat and some pics I promise!

Cheers for the kind words from all
Rick

STUNNING, AWESOME-LOOKING car,
water cooled turbos on an aircooled engine must be the ultimate.

'could maybe convert me to widebodies, Performance must be better than Yellowbird, you got some white socks for when you take it to the 'ring Rick?[8|]

enjoy it,

George

Did the run from Zurich, Gottard, Milan, Genoa, Monaco last night... cripes its quick.... it' moves around a lot above 220kph (but is still pulling like a train when I run out of g*nads at 260... has a standard RS 5-speed in it, any clue what she'll hit before the red line as I've no doubt it will get there, looks like a fraction over 300 to me) but the truly memorable thing is it does the 140kph - 220 kph in about 4 secs I think... absolute warp factor... like nothing I've even known.

The Ring??? Cripes, I scared myself racing a Clio around there... I'd need some very brave pills to set out in the beastie... or some very white socks...

Impressed that I've done best part of 1000 miles this week in it, and until I got on the hairpins half a mile from home it didn't miss a beat... then on one of the tight hairpins I got a bad rubbing sound from the front right wheel which continued afterwards... any clues what's dislodged? All the wheel arch liners look fine to me (first thought...)

Now to get the miriad of bugs off it for a photoshoot...

Found out why it's so quick above 3500 revs, this is the chart of my engine output apparently:

Explains much!

Wud nt know how to print it, but have a print out on a Torque curve like that from my GT2 ........went just through 650 nm but i sure know how it felt in the seat !Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Thanks Vic... cripes 650nm? That must be impressive... 550 feels like someones crashed into the back of the car!

Found out the problem with the rubbing noise... inside of the rim is touching the spring on the nearside, and I've about 2mm of clearance on the drivers side... I'm assuming that's not normal?

As the sort of racing driver who trys not to get his hands dirty, I'm not the expert... but it looks like I've got a huge amount of camber on each side???? Might explain why it was a touch difficult to keep in a straight line???

Got a flat bed coming tomorrow to take it to the nearest specialist...

Rick, I have a set of 5mm wheel spacers I can bring next week if you want ............

Sorted ![;)]

Hmmm, 5mm isn't going to get the rim out of the spring even on the straight ahead... next cunning plan?

OK now you have given me the full story on the phone, you forgot to add above the bit about the possible sudden thud or twang !!

Obviously something has moved due to not being done up tight enough or some part time racing driver giving it to many beans on the way home as he was on a promise [:D]

If your saying the rim is actually in the spring then would suggest either the top mount has moved in the chassis (if it has slots cut into it) or if you have adjustable top mounts on the suspension units then maybe they have moved. failing that underside something has come adrift on the wishbone maybe broken bolt with luck .......... cant remember what it looks like to be honest, dont panic it's nothing major [;)]

Christ - looks like a scene from a Quentin Tarantino film [;)]

Well my flat patch aint very flat, but I reckon I've more camber on the side that ISNT touching...

Schoolboy maths suggests I've got 2.4 degs on the problem side and 3.5 degs on the other... set-up print out shows 2.3 degs per side when it was done last week...

Def. something funny going on...

(I really have to take a proper picture of the interior...)

I wouldn't let u loose with your socket set on my lawn-mower!!!! Let alone....

I've seen what you've done with that kettle of yours.. ;-)
