Well my Spyder hunt is over, I gave up looking for the perfect spec and my head won over and I bought a Boxster 4.0 GTS, one of the last ones made, was a 1 ower PCGB members car so may be some one on here ?.
BIG spec. and in the colour combo I wanted but with ALL the toys and that Electric roof my 18th Porsche and my 1st electric roof Boxster.
Very classic looking in that Blue with silver wheels and the silver stitching I wanted. then Carbon pannels, GTS pack, 18 ways, LED's, Painted roll over hoops, BOSE, climate, extra leather stitched bits, Duel climate, Electric wheel adjustment. folding mirrors, front and rear with rear cam, carbon illuminated side sills. Carbon heated sports steering wheel. Full PPF as well. Only came to Market Friday so jumped fast on it and I have it at home already 8 hour return trip !
Sad to see the green GTS go, but happy to be in a Boxster bar those P zero's.

Today i will be pressing the electric roof button on mine, yesterday I was roof down twice, in my 718 Spyder it was never really down that often as a daily use car.
Having the triple skin roof was an eye opener , it's quitier inside than my Cayman was upto legal speeds. and rides slightly softer.
IN the Cayman GTS in 3 years I never pressed sports chassis it was too harsh, in the Boxster you can run with Sports chassis no issue and off is like like the Ferrari bumpy road button.
Newer regs seem to have extended how longer the exhaust valves stay closed so i need a valvcontroler to open that up when I wish.
But over all the Boxster is MUCH quiter inside, the Cayman had the fake pumped noise from the engine which sounded great imo, fake but who cares, the Boxster does not have this.
GTS Cayman to me was agreat sounding car inside , better than my mates GT4 and he agreed, the pumped in fake noise worked great. long trips more boom though so give and take.
But roof off about >4k revs it sounds great. car feels loads smaller due to no rear openness feels a tiny car and looks a tiny car, even the other half said it's much smaller. (it's not but if feels so small)
Cayman def more a drivers car and stiffer damped so plus and minus with the Boxster . more options with a Boxster though , ie the roof and really having 2 working PASM modes you can actually use.
Cayman feels stronger to me in the mid range atm , these cars needs a few miles on them to free up and I bet the OPC put 95 ron fuel in, needs a bit of use and some Shell V power.
PDK feels more aggressive which is odd. you get a bigger kick in Spots+ mode on changes.

I thought about it, as it was up before I got mine, but I wanted climate a multi function wheel and contrast Stitch.
I will have a 718 Spyder one day again, but no rush I'll keep the GT3 touring now though next summer it's a beast of a car to drive and own.
It's PTS and EVERY option. A Normal Boxster sit's well in the 3 Porsche fleet now, if you can call a 4.0l £100k Boxster normal these days !
