Carpet tiles best - go to local carpet shop - ask them next time they remove/replace old office carpet tiles could you give them a 'drink' for them[;)] Easily laid with a squirt of Spray glue. Walls - mine are brick but painted with Dulux Trade Emulsion

your garage is a shrine john[:D] defineately the best ive seen !!! I am having rather beautiful tiles laid on the quadruple garage floor in poole in preparation for the autumnal arrival!!! Linda did look slightly taken aback when i asked for the same tiles we are having in the kitchenbreakfast and family room to also go in the garage-but the salesman thought it was fine[:D]
 
the tiles are grey wood effect but supposedly wipe clean like kitchen/bathroom floor main advantage for the garage queen being it should cut any dust down dramatically ,especially over carpet which was my previous thought
 
Do NOT use PVA anywhere near paint. It can eventually reactivate the PVA and become unstable. For interior breeze blocks just use some contract emulsion, 1st coat thinned 1:3 and use a thick roller sleeve. 2 coats will do it, although unless you've been doing it professionally for 30 years (cough) you might get a blister on your index finger. [;)] For the floor, a thinned coat of normal concrete floor paint followed by one full coat. If you want to spend £'s then epoxy resin is excellent but not necessary. A carpet tile under each wheel dropped onto the wet paint (sticks like s**t when dry) will ensure no reaction between paint and rubber.
 
old carpets fine, no fibes left to make dust, and it's amazing how clean they look 4 years on. also warm :) Every one I know who has a painted floor the paint peels where the tyres sit, even with the right flooring products
 
John that garage is Halfords back up stock room !! I have the walls painted in Dulux Exterior Trade Weathershield and is great ...use a fleece roller for best results the foam ones are a waste of time as you end up with more paint on you than the walls [: I have Wilton carpets on the floor 2 layers (very Posh ) it stops dust coming through the concrete and stops dampness as well and nice to lay down on when cleaning the wheels [:D] ,a quick hoover over every few weeks keeps it looking good .Ceramic tiles not sure about will maybe get dirty when car is driven in wet .Paint on the floor will eventually wear away taking the car in and out .but i guess owning a garage is a bonus in its self . Hope your car collection goes well Phil looks like roof down weather down south .but not up here sadly[:'(]
 
Good luck Phil. Ironically, I got my Spyder partly to celebrate my renovated garage! Ronseal garage floor paint on top of concrete sealant has been, at best, disappointing - hot sticky Spyder tyres lift it in no time. I did the walls like Brian - 2 coats of external weathershield and they are fine. The best advice is to get a nice piece of carpet to stick on to the wall where the door opens - I have a tandem double garage (not through choice) and have 2 one metre square pieces in place for both cars. Apparently my never receiving the replacement red V5C for the Spyder nearly caused Phil a long delay - fortunately I had not got round to surrendering the tax disc that was still in my jacket pocket yesterday so after £6.40 of special delivery fees, it was guaranteed to arrive back at OPC Nottingham by 1pm today so that Phil can still collect his car tomorrow with 5 months tax! Phil - see if you can persuade Martin to send me a couple of passes to the PEC, I reckon I have done them a massive favour - but I was only looking out for a fellow Spyderman [;)] They haven't even said thank you for finding them a buyer for the car within 3 working hours of them taking custody of it!!

I was thinking eco floor tiles maybe - http://www.ecotileflooring.com/garage-flooring-company/ then white emulsion paint on the walls, following by plaster boarding the ceiling and putting downlights in there. Does that mean i get a further rebate from OPC Nottingham as they were putting 1 yrs of tax on the car haha!
 
If you get any more rebate you can send it to me [:D] The eco tiles look really good for the floor - though next time I have a spare £700 for home improvements I suspect my wife may have some grander ideas...

Silly answer but make sure you get the walls painted prior to putting down any kind of flooring! If you could accommodate flashing down-lighters also don't forget to send out the party invites to fellow Spydermen![:D][;)] Enjoy your car.[8D]
 
those tiles look great [;)] i also love the framed pictures on johns garage walls that and a disco ball and we're there i think!!
 
Rob will do! [:D] Plan of action will be, Paint the walls, plasterboard the ceiling and paint white, with downlights in. Then lay the eco tiles in slate grey.
 
Would have hoped there wasn't that much to do!! You won't sleep tonight, it will be like Christmas Eve 1978. [:D] Put the roof down. Get it warm, find a decent road, put it in sports mode, stick the sports exhaust on, get 3000 rpm on the clock in 2nd gear and floor it. Repeat. Smile. Repeat. Continue...
