http://motoriblog.net/sites/default/files/imagecache/1280_watermark/1032/porsche-boxster-spyder-nuove-immagini-ufficiali_9.jpg Those wheels look a lot nicer looking in the photo than in real life .look a bit more polished looking to me. That Red one is very cheap [:'(] some one is getting a bargain even at that mileage . this seems to impact more than the correct wheels gears pse etc Will be hanging on to the buckets Flat 6 [
] The foam does make a bit of a difference, but still a firm seat and not as comfy as the Sports i would imagine but will live with them [
] Did sit in a 981 on Tuesday a loan car by one of the club guys and have to say the seats where very comfortable and the inside was stunning ,BUT it is just another new Boxster along with the thousand of others at the end of the day .The Spyder is just that bit special .The sale must have fallen through on the Blue one did say in the add pending deposit . Have a good top down weekend fellow Spydermen. Brian

Rob Very interesting i used to drive HGV's and had a PSV licence and drove coaches and buses again like you before all this legislation came in to force. In fact when i meet my wife way back in 1969 i was driving a 12 wheel cement mixer fully load with 12 cubic mtrs weighed in at close to 40 ton gross a the good old days .Never though in those days i would ever drive a Porsche never mind own one.[
]
Rob, driving coaches obviously stood you in good stead as you're no slouch on the track! But talking of driving I just arrived back from Scotland where we won our class on the Jim Clark Challenge Rally and finished 13th overall in a 1400 Focus
It was on closed roads with pace notes and very fast in places [8D]. Here is a video of the 1st stage which started in Duns town square http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKxRfSmc-yY Rikki and Phill (Who were also at Anglesey track day) finished 2nd in the Historics in his "Old Timer"

That's the plan lots of mileage in this sunshine fun filled weekend for me and the Spyder[8D] The Aqua car was sold but the buyer has been abroad but will be collecting her next week and then I think the ads will be pulled The rear of year goes to the Spyder [ORIGINAL: kitchens The sale must have fallen through on the Blue one did say in the add pending deposit . Have a good top down weekend fellow Spydermen. Brian

Andy Small world indeed .way back in the 70s i was involved in the rallying scene ,mainly in the club scene but was involved in the Scottish.....Bhurma...... .Blane Stages .We spent a night socializing with the late Rodger Clark at one of the rallies one year great times Was down that way a few weeks ago with the Tipec guys passed near Duns and noticed a couple of events at Duns taking place . Have visited the Jim Clark Room .Planing on a run down that way on the 17th August with some of the DDK crowd .Nice video you weren't hanging around . Brian
Gents - apologies for going missing for a while. To put in simply ... ... I've been too busy driving my new Spyder [
] Have put 700 miles on it since I picked her up. Have already had a play at Cheddar Gorge as well as a day trip to the Brecon Beacons. What can I say about this car that hasn't already been said??? I've always been a big fan of the Elise and in fairness, they still have the edge when it comes to a tight B-road (mainly due to being a smaller car with no PAS). But when I took it to Brecon, that's when I seriously gelled with the car and takes the driving to a different dimension to the Lotus. The car has an amazing flow to it once you're hooked up & the handling is sublime on the limit. The nose of this car so sharp, settling into neutral when pushed. It's so confidence inspiring you just don't want to stop. PSE unplugged, the sound it made just filled the hills with sweet sweet music! Wonderful! I'm so deeply impressed by this car & Daro911, you weren't kidding. The attention this car gets is insane. But now, I'm off on holiday abroad, it's going to have to be tucked up for 2 weeks. Can't wait to get back out and explore the car even more v v soon!

Geeforce Excellent first impressions indeed and you are no doubt another convert to the best kept affordable secret from Porsche in decades plus the added bonus of insane but positive attention this £30k plus car generates from all walks of life in my experiences to date ...Enjoy your holiday abroad no doubt spent dreaming of getting behind the wheel again soon[ORIGINAL: GeeForce Wonderful! Yeah we saw the Jim Clark room and the clock memorial that was put up near where he was buried. Nice area especially when the sun is out!!ORIGINAL: kitchens Andy Small world indeed .way back in the 70s i was involved in the rallying scene ,mainly in the club scene but was involved in the Scottish.....Bhurma...... .Blane Stages .We spent a night socializing with the late Rodger Clark at one of the rallies one year great times Was down that way a few weeks ago with the Tipec guys passed near Duns and noticed a couple of events at Duns taking place . Absolutely. Well said my friend. Although am slightly disappointed at the lack of love for the Metroliner! Kitchens - what did you drive? My favourite remains the 1981 B58 Volvo with 6 speed manual ZF gearbox!
Great pics Geeforce and your tale is a testament to how addictive these cars are. They seem to be set up just right as a sports car for the road. Whoever put 36K miles on that red one has the right idea[ORIGINAL: GeeForce Gents - apologies for going missing for a while. To put in simply ... ... Definitely worth sharing great find as I doubt I will ever get to ride in one yet alone drive one![ORIGINAL: flat6 From one Spyder to the next. Haven't watched it all myself yet but surely worth sharing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu_GezgxQ4o
Never underestimate the power of a Spyderman. The 918 will be yours Rob...ORIGINAL: kitchens Never though in those days i would ever drive a Porsche never mind own one.[]
Now that sounds more like a plan I could at least aim at if they make an open top version to compete with McLaren & 458 boys [ORIGINAL: flat6 Maybe the much rumoured 961 will simply be a 918 without batteries. Then Chris Harris will be happy, and with a Ferrari 458 price tag, Daro will be happy too[]

So who got where - perfect day to use Spyder for what it was designed for. Told my wife I was taking her for a nice picnic somewhere beautiful. Had passed Ruthin before she clocked I was attempting the Evo Triangle by stealth!
Got home with some extra passengers.
All sparkly clean again now though.
It's definitely beer o'clock now. Cheers!

Great video,Andy-my wife & I used to rally an Austin A30 twin SU's,Peco exhaust exiting under the passenger door, back in the 60;s in the Manchester Motor Club area which included places like Wildboarclough & the Peak District with special stages in quarries-I remember one stage where the warning lights that blasting was about to start came on as we entered the quarry--scary.
It's looking more & more like yours is a keeper Rob[ORIGINAL: rob.kellock So who got where - perfect day to use Spyder for what it was designed for.
