Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

too many people cannot get finance these days another issue with driving prices down, the wealthy and SRS is not the same market bar a few.
VIP and those clients got one new 12 months ago, todays market is dead.
I am still 50/50 on getting a Boxster GTS to be honest, but a new one is >£90k so look bad value vs a £110k SRS, I just don't like the SRS !

WP does offer a few nice bits though, those tail pipes :) the full race tech dash, and removing the cheap plastic air ducts to full carbon plus the gurny flap. So WP imo does look nicer and resale def easlier to sell.
My 4RS was WP with mags looked a mega car and sold no issue from the OPC I gave it to. carbon bonnet looks naff though. non WP look a bit cheap / plastic !! hence they don't sell well and of course 2nd hand are the worse value as they are not £45k under list ! normal ones only £15/£20k off list so again look VERY poor value.

but its the trade price on these now must be sub £100k for a year old £160k car ! that's the worse value GT product ever released !

I put my GTS in car wow, it's gone up in the last 6 months ! my GT3 also gone up ! I got lucky only losing £30k on the 4RS now !! And i paid £20k under list for it ! the guys at the time were paying over £200k for 4RS's !! but the car a dog, 2nd worse GT product ever made after the 991.1 GT3 imho. Thing is the SRS is a good product just a tiny client base for it and BAD OPC playing games with semi rich clients most said "screw you" and went to Ferrari. Every time i goto Ferrari I get treated like a king it's def a higher level up and free service 7years + 5 years warranty , Porsche made you feel like shit. I was not even allowed a 4.0 Boxster GTS at launch lol. !

Porsche losing money sales are down their share price has collapsed, to get round it the service price has gone up 300% and they have reduced their once great warranty (cover now worse) !! Ferrari now cheaper to own than Porkers !
My GT3 service this year is £4.5k ! my Ferrari mates don't pay this ! and if you get a 2 years old one you still have 5 years free to use !

I could have ran a F8 cheaper than the 4RS !! o well ! now F8's are very sort after and gone up £40k in the last year !!

Thing is I like Porkers, but like many dislike OPC's and playing games. but yet they still flipping 992.2 GT3 to VIP back handers !! so they not learnt much !

2 owner 22.3k mile 981 Spyder coming to market soon if anyone is looking for such a rare beast for Summer 2026

This particular example is one of just 227 UK-supplied, right-hand drive 981 Spyders and is finished in Carrara White with a black interior. Reluctantly for sale from the Bunbury Collection due to ill health, the mileage at the time of cataloguing was just 22,326 from new. The V5C shows just one former keeper, and it’s formed part of this private seller's collection since 2019.

There are invoices in the history file from Porsche Centre Chester and marque specialist, Neinemeister, and it appears that the car hasn’t been serviced for a few years, however, only a minimal mileage has been covered since the last service due to ill health so the car will be due a service based on time expired since the last. The MOT is valid the 11th December 2026 and we welcome your inspection at the Race Retro auction.

This is a great opportunity to acquire a modern Porsche that perfectly embodies rarity, purity, focus, and driving enjoyment. As a limited-run, enthusiast-led variant, it's undoubtedly set to become a modern classic and is likely to be remembered as one of the great modern Porsches.
