are all the 944s in scotland??

since i started breaking my 944 s2 to fund my turbo track build i seem to have sent the majority of parts to scotland, and i seem to get about 5 calls a day from scottish chaps. is this where the majority of 944s are, or is it just coincidence??

just wondered why it seemed the 944 seems to have a good following in scotland

I posted up about that last year, noticed a high percentage of for sale ads seemed to be 944's in Scotland.

It might not be a scientific survey , but perhaps it just proves that most 944s in Scotland are broken?

Are you in the newcastle area and selling the parts on ebay from a 1992 S2 ?
 
im not in the newcastle area, im located in surrey so the parts have a fair old trip up north !
i did have the s2 listed on ebay for breaking but the listing has ended now. i wont relist until i have the car in parts as at the min its still mostly in one piece and i need to find time to strip it
 
I'm north of the border and just bought a brake servo and master cylinder from the seller in newcastle last night . Thought it might have been you but its not . One of his other items was a bent front wing which sold for about £65 which was a bit surprising . Might try flogging my front wing which has been kicked in when i replace it if thats the going rate for damaged panels [:)]
 
yeah i spoke to a chap who was bidding on those wings at the end of the day it was only a small dent, which if the wings were being painted, would be easy and cheap to repair. with new wings at silly prices. non rusty s2/turbo wings seem to fetch good money. i just sold a pair of good turbo wings from my turbo for £200. to be replaced with fibreglass items.
 
I bought the windscreen and radiator from the guy in newcastle and also his suspension he had on a few weeks ago.The suspension was unused and his bits are in fantastic condition.Still looking for a few bits so if anyone has the plastic cover for the wiper motor etc or the plastic scoup thing that sits in behind the badge panel I would be vary grateful.
 
I had a snipe set up for that windscreen . Mines going to have to be removed to sort some rust where it joins the roof and i was going to buy it just in case the screen cracked . However with 2 minutes left until the end of the auction i realised i wasn't sure whether it would fit in the boot of the 944 for collection . There wasn't time to measure up by this point so i cancelled the snipe . Think my max bid was going to be about 50p more than what it sold for . I hope the servo and master cylinder is in the same condition as the parts that you bought [:)]
 
I noticed this as well...! Scotland is a melting pot of 944's

The Irish government have made sure that the 944 is a rare sight around here .. [:(]
 
i have 2 windsreens but both fitted, so would be a case of trying to remove in one piece. what money did the screen go for on ebay ?
 
From memory, about £30. Most guys plump to get them replaced for £75 via their insurance company screen cover I think.
 
I was watching that also, how the flip did he manage to get it out in one bit ?? as they are very well bonded..................unless it was new ?
 
It's not hard to get a windscreen out if you have the right tool.The reason I bought that one was because mine was cracked and it got worse when I took it out.I need to fit a windscreen to get the car through an mot and a new one is £240 so it made sense to pop a second hand one in get it through the mot and then if nessisary claim a new one on the insurance.
