Sunday 22nd April – Gentlemen’s Breakfast Club meeting at Church, near Accrington. This event is organised on the HVCC 'Drive it Day’ when owners of sports and classic cars are encouraged to take them out for a drive. The organisers don’t want ‘Boy Racers’ or Chav’s attending so this will be a select event. If you are interested in attending please e-mail me before Thursday 19th April, and I can let you know where it will be held. It will not be promoted on Social Media

Sunday 20th May – Cumbria International Motor Show. This is the main car show we will be supporting in 2018. We have a number of entries from R18, with almost as many from R3. Last year we had about 130 Porsche in attendance, and we would like a good turnout again. Porsche Centre Kendal will be bringing long a full range of cars with a couple of surprise. In addition PCG B will be bringing along the club marquee, and Porsche Cars GB will be bringing along their Mobile Exhibition Unit.
You need to book via the event website

www.espcarclub.co.uk/cumbria-international-motor-show

and go to the Car Registration button and pay online. In the comments box put Porsche Club GB. This will enable the organisers to allocate us with sufficient space. If you just turn up on the day you will have to park on the public car park and pay £10.00. Pre-booking only costs £5.00

Sunday 8th July – Red Rose Run (Formerly Porkers in the Trough). This is the Region’s major driving event. A booking form is attached. Please get your entries in ASAP. The first bookings have already arrived.

7th – 9th September – WOTY to Broomhall Castle, Menstrie, near Stirling. The hotel only has 16 rooms and we have reserved them all. There are only a couple of rooms left

Following our successful weekend last year, we have another chance to explore the scenery and excellent driving roads and lochs of this beautiful part of Scotland. Broomhall's staff looked after us very well last year and are very much looking forward to seeing us again for what should be another very sociable and enjoyable weekend.
£230 per room for 2 nights’ dinner, bed & breakfast to be booked direct with Broomhall Castle quoting PCGB with a £50 deposit.

Hi David,

I turned up at Bolton OPC last night only to learn from one of the sales team there that the event had been cancelled. Was there a communication about this that I missed?

Also, is it likely to be rescheduled do you know?

Cheers!

Hi

Everyone who had let me know they would be attending was notified by e-mail. I also mentioned the postponement at the Monthly Meeting on the Wednesday, where PC Bolton staff came along. The reason for the postponement at the last minute was due to the car being damaged after testing on the Monday/Tuesday, and PC Bolton didn't want to show us the car in a damaged state.

Another date will be scheduled later in the year, when convenient to PC Bolton

Thanks David. I emailed you to say I would be attending but I received no response to that email, nor notice of the cancellation. It must have got lost somewhere I guess, maybe in your spam folder? I wasn't the only person who turned up in error, there was another PCGB member there at the same time as me.

I'll keep an eye out for the rescheduled date.
