anyone on here in the Brighton area?

S2 and Turbo insurance is a good deal more specialised than 2.5l 8v insurance. Every man and his dog covers the latter cars and you can even get £80 quotes on comparison websites, but many of those who will even quote for a more powerful model will up their prices from very reasonable to very silly.

Let me know what your insurer says and I point you in the right direction, if need be.
 
best so far is £337 which is waaayyyy more than the lux.

As for James comment on the stereo, I always rip the buggers out.....the engine is the only soundtrack i like to hear!![:)]
 
I've got two daughters they never shut up, a decent stereo goes a long way sometimes lol, cheers Pete
 
Oh alright then, i'll let you off! It's even got the remote control unit in the little cubby hole beneath the radio[:)]. I tell you mate, you've got yourself a bargain!

Red seems to hate UV the most sad to say, you can get it back but alas it will fade again just as quickly, if not quicker. I remember watching a Zymol clay demo at a Tipec meet some years back, this was a red 911 that you could say was closer to white than red. I was amazed how he got some red back but he warned it wouldn't be there for long and he was right, is those circumstances a respray is the only way. However this was a very severe case and good results have been achieved with less effected oxidised paintwork, you do need to wax it often though, at least once a month or sooner.

It was similer to a 'trade wax' product, designed to quickly spam-up cars on forecourts, with a bit of a cut and a bit of a shine... Trade wax was better value though, with a big bucket of it costing about £20.

Theres no alternative to doing it properly!

Have you tried giving it a machine polish Simon, I'm always amazed how mine comes up and it has gone a little pink in the past if left in the sun unloved for too long.
This picture from last autumn was after sitting on the drive for 12 months I noticed the roof section and rear arches loosing their colour. Half a day mopping using various 3M compound's soon fixed it.

Its been mopped to within an inch of its life already Pete!

When the weather improves / I can be arsed, I will T-Cut it and give it a damned good polish and a couple of coats of wax.
 
Nah, Red's a sh1t colour, reminds me of Man Ure....Sorry, i meant Man Utd! Don't bother getting it wrapped, one can get a full respray(windscreen out) for £1,200 squids in Matt Black (that's what i'm gonna do coz Black cars are much faster) the same as for having it wrapped [:)]. James, I popped in to Paul's garage in Rottingdean to meet you at 2pm and missed you by 2 minutes apparantly! Never mind, we'll meet up sooner or later. I hope you had a fun and safe journey home mate. Please give me a bell or text when you get home just to let me know you made it ok. Oh, and by the way, you defo don't need a respray or wrap. The paintwork on that S2 is superb!
