anyone know this Orange 944 ?

It does look very nice and has obviously had a lot of money spent on it. Shiny paint and 968 side trims could hide a multitude of sins though.................Although based on the spec I can't imagine anyone would spend that money polishing up a rust bucket...................."But as labour was the majority of the cost they decided to do it in record time " [;)]

Come on, now...don't you wonder why someone would buy this and then sell it on after only 5 months? Then there's the matter of 200000mls and no long list of recent bills...

Buy yourself a genuine S2 for that money.

Looks like something Mario and baldy would push out! probably sourced all the parts from a "Geezer"

As others have said a mash up of unknown provenance for the price of a proper sorted S2. I suspect the vendor is not being overly forthcoming as he does not have much of a clue about the car ! Also the colour scheme inside and out might be very, erm, distinctive but its going to appeal to very few which will make resale even more difficult than for a normal 944.

Best pass on it IMHO.

TBH I was wondering if this was even a genuine post ! no offence mean if it is but who would bid over 2,500 for that

" increase your bids or you wont get any where near it " oh dear what a shame I'll miss out on such a gem of a classic car.

[:D] not to my taste either... horrible! and suspicious that they want to get rid after only 5 months of ownership

another way of looking at it though... if you do really like it and it has been well done (backed up by a file of in-progress photographs and a thorough inspection), it's a bargain compared to what it would cost you to do yourself.

Spotted a typo as well... he says it's worth in excess of £5000.... what he means is that it COST in excess of £5000.

hen there's the matter of 200000mls and no long list of recent bills...

It's got a new battery? What more do you want for five grand! [:D][:D]

I actually like the colour, and could live with the interior. I'm a bit odd, though. [&o]

This is how to do an orange 944 properly:

I'd steer well clear of that personally. There's several things not quite right about it. Whoever has bid £2500 has already bid too much IMHO.
