Bl[8|][8|]dy Hell Vic,
Last time I enquired Nov last year they were asking 65k!!!!!!

Are you sure?

John, as u ve probably noticed he never puts prices on his adverts , irritating is the polite word to describe the habit ..............but last i had heard he was at £75k now this new story ........................making The Blue Beast look a megga bargain!

Hendon Way Motors have been going for yonks, with a mixed reputation.

I think a lot of their cars are SOR.

I have also heard this but in this particular instance, would the owner really leave the car on SOR with a garage for over 2 years and in between allow magazines to take it out and give it a good thrashing[8|]

Most of there cars use to be SOR and that is probably the case today, with prices floating up all the time and apparently getting your SOR back out of there sticky fingers was not an easy task hence my comment above "Smokescreens & Mirrors" [;)]

The usual game from this gentleman is to answer 'ones 'advert and say hes got someone who would like the car in question can he have it in for 20 minutes to show them , one never neets prospective punter and many phone calls of spurious nature follow!! Cant really print the rest save to say i ve fallen for it twice over 25years ................yes its been there yonks, HWM and the car in question !

The beauty of SOR is, it gives the dealer an apparently large stock with negligible financial risk.

These dealers will have some 'owned' stock, from part/exs etc, but they will always limit their exposure as most cars are a depreciating asset, and even sought after 'collectables' can fall out of bed big time when the bubble bursts.

Some sellers like SOR because they like the idea of the dealer do all the dirty work and they hope to get a better price. Doesn't always work though.

Anyway, Lovetts (Porsche Swindon) sold an ex-Max Beaverbrook Midnight 993RS (Comfort I think) with 18k miles, for £59k(ish) about two years ago.I suppose the market has moved; Max was selling an M471 2.7RS with good race history at about the same time for £80k[&:].

Did nt know that car , cant find an rs or clubsport to save my life , but for a clean rhd £65 -70k wud aoppear abt right ................if indeed u must have rhd . Silver car in mint condition went thru at £68 in last couple of months low mileage .

Thanks for the feedback so far. I am aware of HWM's somewhat less than perfect reputation as a dealer (understatement??) and how difficult they can be to deal with.

More interested in any stories surrounding the car and opinion on condition etc.

Ian.

If you want C R A P (Certainly Rejected Approved Porsches) they are great [:D]

Tend to be older higher mileage stock.................what u see is what u get , just look carefully!

If you are intereste, go along for a look and if you think you like what you see, get someone who knows about the model to check it ver for you.

I looked at it over a year ago......it had a full comfort spec which was not what I wanted,, at the time there were a few marks on the body and the speedlines needed refurbing......maybe they had just got it in? it didn't have the preperation at the time for a car up for top $$$$.

Vic all had a great time at Spa and Ring we will be out in the GT2R on Saturday Open Hope to see you sometime ...
