Hi,

Before i go off eBaying i wondered if anyone had a unit for sale, with the air con button and the recirc button?

Alternatively I would also be interested in a none functional doner unit with an ok recirc button, mine has stopped mechanically "latching in" when pressed

I live in Sunderland, so could collect if not too far way, or else I'm happy to cover your courier costs.

If the above opportunity does not work out, I have a fully functional heater unit in full working order, but the writing has worn away from the windscreen demister and AC buttons.

If Paul does not want yours I might [;)]

I'll be interested to find out if anyone can supply these, as I saw Elliott last week about one and he advised how hard to come by they are. My air-con, demister and recycle buttons are worn white, but I think a friendly auto-electrician broke the demister button off and wedged it back in place to fall off at a later date, so mine's pretty much screwed now!

Has anyone got a price from Porsche on one yet? I'd expect at least £200.....

I reckon my air con has not worked for some time then as there is no wear on my buttons. I'm going to my local OPC tomorrow if I remember I will see if they can give me a price.

The double recirc/demist button from the OPC costs,,,,,,,,(drum roll),,,,,,,,(crowd waits with baited breath),,,,,,,,,,

£132 inc VAT.

I thought that waas pretty good, for the entire unit, as I understood that the entire unit was integrated. Looking at the PET it does seem to be a separate button, and £130 for a button is pretty steep!

ChasR, thank you for offering your unit for sale. And also thank you for being honest about its condition.

The rest of the switches and the interior of my car is in good condition. I'm holding out for a unit that shows little wear.

Looks like you've found a buyer in 944Scott.

Yes, I can confirm its £132 for a the button, the little black thing about the size of the end of your thumb.

Recently I've been happy with OPC parts prices, but every now and again you come across a screamer like this.

Christ, my item from sulzeruk on here seems like a bargain now!

Scott I shall let you know. It all depends on whether the new unit works!

Here is another avenue if only new will do for the switches. Postage however may change the game:

I keep hoping a company will pop up that reconditions them. I'm tempted to get the airfix matt black paint out just to make it look a bit better.
