Anyone ever had Catalytic Converter Failure?

The orange engine warning light has come on in my 2019 Panamera 2.9 e-hybrid - its drives as normal and the light is not flashing, just on. My worry is that this may indicate an issue with the catalytic converter but the car has done less than 70k miles and has a full OPC service history. Has anyone ever had a problem with their cat?
 
Hi,

An ECL doesn’t necessarily mean a cat converter issue … it may just be faulty sensor issue like a lambda or MAF sensor for instance. Check that the fuel filler cap is tightened securely.

The most cost-effective and efficient way forward is to run some appropriate diagnostics to see what error messages are being flagged-up and any Porsche Independent or reputable garage for that matter should be able to help.

Thanks for those replies, I’ve just booked it in. From what I’ve been able to find out, a catalytic converter failure would be very unusual so fingers crossed.
