This one is advertised on Ebay not far from me, so very tempting to rake a look. Would have to sell my LUX to make room though.

Not many pictures, and I am sure it was advertised by the same dealer some months ago.

Don't know the car but the Advert detail shows £3995 yet eBay price £2995 so not sure what going on. Not to rain on anyones parade but if it was as good as they say and incl garage mark up then £2995 is too cheap. If it's close to you then go have a look it might be a bargain you can't tell from the pictures as they are too arty to be any use. Take a copy of the buyers guide and a torch to look down the sills etc.

Not too sure about an S2 with LSD either you woul dneed to check the build codes although after this long it probably needs a rebuild anyway

Got to be worth a look - a drive will tell you a lot, as will a look into the sills. "Showroom condition" would make this a bargain! (I could see it at £5995 at Buchanan Motors)

No interior pics, which is a shame.

I think prices are all over the place - non-specialist dealers will probably still be pricing these quite low. Probably a part ex, so as long as he shifts it quickly & makes £500+ on it he'll be happy

Definitely worth a look at that price. As said check sills and all electrics to make sure they are working!

I think you missed the 1 off the start of the price Ed [:D]

I may be wrong but I think this has been for sale on and off for sometime. May not be a bad car but could mean at least some further movement on the price

Thanks for the replies guys. I didn't have time to get to see the car last weekend, but hope to make more of an effort this week.

I'm sure it has been for sale for some time, but not always advertised. I'll let you know what I find.

It looks suspiciously cheap. Worth a look but either it is a scam or there is something wrong with it.

(Or the seller doesn't know what it is worth. Which is possible. The wing vents are nasty, but not enough to make it that cheap.)

Scams abound on Gumtree tho'. To wit:

Oli.

I am sure it was for sale by a guy in Scotland not so long ago , he had to sell because of losing his job.He was an enthusiast and TIPEC member. It looks a well kept car.

I agree with Eddie it was for sale for quite a while, the wings give it away. Wasn't the seller Poprock or something like that?

yeah, it was Poprock. I'm guessing we're not encouraged to link to Tipec threads so I won't even try. His original posting to sell the car was titled "Cherished 944 Turbo for sale" in July 2012. Looks like he sold it then it came up for sale again in November. Strange that it would be for sale yet again?

ETA: it looked like a very nice car in his ad, though don't think i'm keen on the wings.
