Hi All,

I purchased a Porsche 968 in Guards Red Registration L326PRB from Porsche Apart In Ramsbottom a year ago.
They told me at the time of viewing that it had a service history which they were in the process of locating through its previous owner a Mr. Mark Young of Scotland?

I have been relentlessly persuing them to locate the service history for me with no avail? does anyone know the car or Mark so i can retrieve the history?

Many thanks & Regards,

Mike[]

Do you not have Mark Youngs name and address on the V5 as being the previous owner.??? OR were Porschapart the last redgistered owner.??

Hi Dave,

Apparently he has moved house since selling it to Porschapart, he did leave a phone number with them to contact him but they arent being very helpful now? guess they got the sale and now im just hassle!

They said it was fully serviced before the sale but not got any receipts or history?

I am about to arrange a service but to be safe i think i will do all the belts etc, although they dont look old at all.

Just annoying if they were done not so long ago.

Even more annoying as i now have a lovely car which should have a history and now hasnt!!!

Hows things with you, you started on that club sport yet or is it still in moth balls.

Kind regards,

Mike

If you look in the Members section at the top of the forum page, enter Mark Young in the quick search box you will find his contact details--that is if it is the said Mr Young.[8|]

Hi Thanks for the heads up on that, i emailed Mark and he kindly replied, but its not him.

I have later found out that the guy who previously owned it was a Mr Stevan Cochrain from Ayr?

Anybody Know him or his contact details???

Regards,

[:D] Just got a call from Porsch-apart saying they have tracked down the missing documents and should have them for me next week[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] Result!

Hi Mike!

Very disappionted to hear the opinion that you have of Myself & Porsch-Apart! Especially considering I have reassured you on various ocassions that i was trying my best to get my hands on the History! What you need to take into consideration is that A) the car was not advertised with any History whatsoever and B) the car was priced to sell without history. At the time I had been informed that the previous own was obtainable and willing to part with the History. And as such I told you that i would get a hold of it for you!

I can hardly be held responsible for a guy not answering his phone over a 12 month period, and what is more upsetting is that I have finally got the whole situation put to bed i.e i have supplied parts at our expense and arranged for collection of the history. To find that I am being slated behind my back.

Mike, I am really disappointed. It seems like there has been a complete lack of trust on your belhalf. I would appreciate your comments.

Hello Warren,

I was under the impression that this matter was concluded, pending receipt of the service history that you have promised me this week. As far as i am aware i have made no derogatory opinions publicly toward you or your company on this matter nor in this forum & i am not holding you personally responsible for you or your companies actions and from the above statements, certainly have not slated you?

The vehicle as you quite rightly state was not advertised with a service history, however the low value was based on it being damaged repaired, during our negotiations and my final bid offer i stated that i wouldnt purchase the car unless it had a service history which you assured me it had and would be obtained and passed on via your company doing a deal with the former owner. This i understand from you had been concluded several months ago and the information would follow in due course. From memory the car was also advertised as being ready for use, however there were several deficiencies with it which when pointed out during the deal you kindly offered to rectify, which you did prior to collection.

It is not a matter of the lack of trust in you, which personally my wife and i found you to be a very helpful, honest and a genuine person and as far a your company is concerned i have since dealt with and will continue to do business with them whilst i am running Porsche vehicles.

Surely after persuing this matter for 12 months you can understand my frustrations, which you reassured me after i contacted you last week would be satisfied.

In conclusion not a lack of trust, just frustrating and want to conclude the deal.

Kind regards,

Mike

This was an opinion that youd have been better advised keeping to yourself, I think.

Hi Mike!

Just to let you know that the History is here on my Desk!

Where do we go from here?

I do not think that it is in the Forums interest that you publicly try to sort out your differences on here.

I suggest that you pick the phone up to one another and sort it out that way .

Dear Moderator

I felt it only fair that I should be able to let it be known that I have followed through with my Promise and not flippantly cast the issue aside as implied in previous comments!

Here-in lies the problem with Forums! Opinions cast be cast and formed due to only one side of the story being put forward.

To be honest, if a simple request for information had been made I would never have got involved. But given that some of your members / our valued customers had let me know that negative issues had arisen regarding my Integrity etc. My hand was forced in putting forward the full facts.

I fully agree with what your saying. I would have much preferred not to be in this situation full stop.

Kindest Regards
