Any of you ever had a notch or sticky G/box?

I was suffering from a notchy gearbox in 996 mx for a few years. My mate stipped the box down (he is a fully qualified engineer-works for TVR) and said it was in good nick. So I have been trying to find an oil that will at least help a bit. Having tried red line, motul, castrol, mobil 1 and 76 I believe I may have cracked it. A while back a mate put me onto Royal Purple. It needs a longer term test, to check for its overall wear protection etc (which I have been assured by Royal Purple UK is very good), but it has DEFINATLEY made a reasonable improvment to my gearchanges.

I will keep you posted.

Fogive me if I' m wrong, but every post you have made has been promoting this brand of oil, and each time the thread has been started by you. This looks like a commercial posting to me. I know you have claimed not to be anything other than a satisfied customer of this companies products - but this does look a bit suspicious when you have not even posted in threads about any other topic!
As I say, forgive me if I' m wrong, but it does look suspicious...

The main reason I only talk about oil is because its what I know. I used to work in the oil industry. I feel it is an important and under exposed source of alot of problems. Like I have said before in here, if any of you guys want to give me any product recomendations that you have been happy with I would be happy to check them out. Im retired now anyway.

Yes Mark,

I must admit, as I sat at my Dell laptop, drinking a nice cup of PG Tips tea, munching a satisfying McVities plain choc digestive that it was a little suspicious.....

Still, on a site like this we must be charitable, stay friends provident and give him the benefit of the Daz.

The reason I asked...
