How about this?
924S in Derbyshire
Interesting, I've read there's not a massive difference between the 924s and 944 in performance, but I'm really after a 944 though.
Are you interested in a squarer dash ? and what colours wont you accept.
I'll help keep an eye out, maybe even view, as I enjoy it like many here.
Thanks Mas. Style of dash isn't important to be honest, just a car that goes and stops and isn't part of the way towards rusting to death. Budget up to £1500. I want to get my hands dirty a bit, it's part of why I'm getting one, but nothing too major as tools and space are restricted (I can't go changing a clutch or wheel bearings at the moment!).
The Long Sutton one looks ok, but I have a phonecall to make tonight to find out a few details about it.

I spent 9 months and travelled to see about 15 cars before plumping for my sorely missed 944T.
Buy a good one at the right price - dont buy a poor one thinking it`ll be so much to do it up - it wont, it will be double (oh yes it will) - especially bodywork and interior.
Basically if you are buying to keep long term dont jump at the first car you see. If you have a price in mind spend the max on the right car thats sound - it will be cheaper (a lot cheaper) in the long run.
Believe me its better to travel and wait for the right car, also if you arent overly familiar with them or with driving them you gain experience when looking and are better able to judge a good one.

I agree not to jump in. I've been looking at various cars for well over a year now, and thanks to a slight case of house damp sapping about £7k from my car fund, my budget has reduced and reduced! Not one to give in, for the little I have left a 944 is perfect. I did win one a few months ago, which turned out to be an ar$ehole trying to scam me.
I won't be keeping it long term, this is more a car to get some mechanical practice on, have fun driving around to shows and stuff, keep for a year or two, and then see what else I can afford. I might even move up to a 944 S2 or Turbo! So, I'm not after a perfect car to lock away when a cloud appears in the sky, it will be almost a year round driver, perhaps once or twice a week! Besides, if I spend £4-5k on a 944 I'll be afraid to take it to pieces!
Red 944 from Baldock was up for £2k and didn't sell, might be worth asking about.
Red 944 from corsham Looks a good buy, but I've got a lot of money to find!
The Blue 944 S2 from Chessington looks tidy, but too much money for me.
Blue 944 S2 from polegate seems a bit steep for a car which clearly needs bodywork.

Re the cheap turbo linky :
I phoned the guy selling the Marachino Red Turbo ( well it might be him he wouldnt really commit) , he was
' too busy to talk' as he was working and asked me to ' phone the other geeza on the other number. "
"is it your car " " phone him he'll tell you about it".
I did manage to find out it has no MOT though and I wont be pursuing it after the phone call.
Two of the three numbers on the ad are premium rate and I dont call premium rate numbers
on car ads on principal. Best of luck.

I have tweeted a few pictures of the sills, interior and engine bay:
https://twitter.com/Aeroist/status/221631691138142208/photo/1
The Offside sill is shot, the nearside is bubbling, there is bubbling on the front of the offside front wing, the driver's seat has some tears and the dash has the usual cracks.
on the other hand, James is a straight-up bloke and a mate of Paul Follet and knows his way around front-enders (loved my 968!) he sees it as a nice, cheap project for someone, it has 12 months MoT and apparently drives very nicely (James was surprised at how good it is)
I didn't see it running as it was in the middle of the showroom, but there were no drips and the engine bay looked clean and honest.
The paintwork was still reasonably red and it had a huge wadge of paperwork (including all MoTs), it has obviously been loved through its life
It came across as an honest car that once the sills were attended to (£4-600 inculding front wing?) and the seat (£2-400 from ebay?) would make a nice solid car
I rather like the look of this one
B Reg in Unstone
That's been advertised for months, it isn't selling. I think someone on here has pointed out before that some of the photos show a fair amount of white smoke from the exhaust!

Hmm, expensive bodywork! So add about £500+ straight on top of the asking price. I also didn't get a reply to my question about belt changes. Thanks for checking it out.

I don't know if you have a colour preference or how far away it is from you - this would interest me, sounds good value.

That does look nice. I've asked for photos of the interior and engine bay, and will try to find time to view it tomorrow!

I am sure a deal could be done!
Forgot to mention that it had 4 brand new tyres fitted and the wheels looked in good nick

That one does look in good condition too, although it's been 2-3 years since the belts were changed so they my need doing soon. It would give me something to do at least!
