Anti-Roll Bars

Some questions that I hope someone can answer :-

Does anyone know the bar diameters for standard anti-roll bars?

How do these diameters compare with the MO30 versions?

Apart from the different thickness what other differences are there between standard and MO30 bars? eg mountings, adjustability etc

bye

Hi Paul, I am pretty sure the following numbers are correct but I have the information for sure on my home PC (I'm at work just now)

The standard 968 has 26.8 mm at the front and 16 at the rear (same as a 944 S2 and Turbo)

The 968 M030 setup uses a hollow 30mm at the front and a solid 19mm at the rear. The rear bar is 3 way adjustable.

You will need new bushes and droplinks to fit these to your car and the whole lot can be bought from an OPC for around £300 with PCGB discount. I hope to do this next year some time.

There are other more hardcore options from people like Weltmeister in the States and they have much more adjustability but are 3 times the price and weigh more.

Thanks for the comprehensive reply. At work on a Sunday night -- hard luck.

See you are not far away -- had you given any thought to the front engined trackday at Bedford on 28/02/2004? see my post in the 944 forum or indeed on this one.

all the best

Hi Paul,

Yes I've already replied in the 944 section that I'd like to go to Bedford, I'll also stick a post in the 944 group at www.titanic.co.uk where there are a few hundred 944 drivers and a core of about 10 regular trackday goers.

In answer to your original post I've just found the part numbers for the 968 M030 ARB's, it was on www.944s2.com It was these that I emailed to Silverstone Porsche OPC a few months ago and got the quote of £300
