Hi,
New to the club and the forum. Bought my first 911 last November, a 997.2 Carrera 4S Cab in black. Absolutely love the car but would like some advice on potential cause of a very irritating exhaust rattle/vibration. I have taken a couple of short videos but looks like the max 1.5MB file size will stop me from uploading them. It happens consistently at about 2000rpm and is coming from the drivers side of the car. Its really noticeable in sports mode when the car is downshifting as that is right at the rev point when the rattle is at its worst. Sounds horrible!
I think its the exhaust and maybe a loose baffle but not sure. Had it into a local OPC who replaced the sports exhaust actuators as they were loose but its still the same. Thought it might be a heat shield but pressing various ones doesn't make a difference. Suspect I'm going to have to get an OPC to strip it down to get to the root cause but it would be good to know if anyone out there has had a similar problem or can offer advice as to what it could be.
Cheers, Andy
