Anglesey T day...

Last picture I saw he had open pit lane splattered accross the bonnet. Think the tiger idea was a bit "out there" for him [;)]

Hey folks, Just a quick report on the day..
Started out nice + dry , with some early sun,, yes that yellow thing in the sky is the sun.....!!!!!!!! Not that we,d know it this year..!!!!!!!!!
Its the first time ide been to Anglesey since they had re-done the whole layout...So i had to learn the lines etc...[Full circuit]...
Some realy nice corners + a VERY fast long if slight curved back straight, just touched 120mph b4 anchoring on HARD into "rocket"...I couldve gone faster, but it would taken "bigger balls". Seeing as it was my first time..........
There were 3 of us 68 owners in attendance.. I saw Seans car but never "bumped" into him,, There was another chap in a silver 68.. Looked a nice car, but it seemed to be having some challenges later in the day.....Hope he got it fixed.....
A VERY mixed bag of machinery on track. Usual Caterfields , Atoms, Elises , Scoobies + Evo,s,etc...Oh and a few 996,s GT3,s etc... And a lone Ferrari, "mobile chicane"..With a VERY sick passenger....[:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(]...I hope she was ok later in the day....

Anyway.
If the coastal circuit comes up soon ide like to try that.Especially the corkscrew part..Looks a blast...
As the "long/full" version just seemed like a blast up hill to a hairpin , then blast back down hill...Ok maybee in a more powerfull car, but a bit pointless in a 968...I think the Anglesey owners missed a trick with that section....,Seems like an afterthought.....???..... But who am i to judge....????

My car performed great, if with a BIT of understeer....I think its the tarmac OR maybee the type of corners, as i had heard that "our" cars do seem to understeer a lot here....
Then the rain came , about 3pm...Swapped to the road tyres + did another 30 mins, b4 coming in and packing up...JUST b4 the deluge....

So , yes i will go back there, BUT not straight away, or not until they "do" the coastal layout....

Good write up Dave, sounds like the coastal circuit is the one to aim for then, will have to look out for that when I'm back up and running.
