Does anyone have any experience with the One Click ECU Performance Map ?

I have a 2003 996 Turbo Tip S (stock) which I bought recently (very happy with it).
I came across the advert in the Porsche Post magazine, I am wondering if anyone has gone for this upgrade & is it worth the money.

It also doesn't invalidate the Porsche warranty, so they claim.

I don't think that it doesn't invalidate the warranty though - it just allows you to re-flash to the standard settings so that the modified version isn't picked up by the OPC when you have it serviced! Thus it looks like you haven't been running with funny settings...

Here is some more info from them

The One Click unit offers identical gains to the stage 1 rolling road remap. The One Click simply allows the user to switch the map on and off, however the software is mapped using the rolling road but rather than the final software being uploaded on the ECU chip it is uploaded to the One Click. Please note, the One Click has now been revised in price down too £1000+VAT fitted including all rolling road time and the stage 1 remap is now £850+VAT fitted, further to this during the next 2 weeks we have a no VAT offer on both these upgrades. the One Click unit is a separate item that just plugs into the diagnostic port. It only needs to be plugged in when you want to switch programs which takes about 2 minutes.


do you guys think this is a good upgrade, 45bhp increase for £1k ?

I am tempted to give it a try, but I am a little nervous about doing this to my beautiful car .

Are there any pitfalls to re-mapping the ECU (even though it can be changed back).

for an extra 20 BHP and a much more responsive turbo: yes...

(the major improvement, in my view, is from the increased responsiveness and earler turbo kick-in)

I thought the price was OUTRAGEOUS ! considering the same system for the VW/Audi Turbo range is less than half that price ! having seen their handle work, it does work.... but is there a Porsche premium (?) but then again Turbo owners do have fatter wallets []

happy with the results... as long as Andy is there...when he's not, things have not quite run smoothly....

although they did make some major school boy errors with my last Audi TT but when the work was done properly i was done well......

they still need to work on the right 1st time principle........which did waste my time (AGAIN [])

but the rates are very competitive

still my choice..... although for the price of 1-click I'll prefer the custom remap....

although in the TT I ended up with a REVO adjustable chip with a full switchable SPS3, great for on/off and adjusting boost and timing.....

just another option..

Suggest you talk to Kim Collins owner of QST in Haywards Heath - West Sussex. He tuned my 996TT, and has just come 3rd overall and first in class with a similarly tuned 996TT in the inaugral Tuner Grand Prix held recently at Donnington.
