Meet at Rheghed petrol station (CA11 0DQ) 9am meet hope to be on the road for 9.30am Leave at the roundabout turn right A66 Penrith At next roundabout turn left M6 northbound At next junction (J41) leave motorway Top of slip road turn left B6305 Wigton Pass through Sebergham climb the hill Then at crossroads turn right B5299 Carlisle In Dalston at the Garage turn right Durdar At staggered crossroads turn right then left (@ the Black Lion pub) At the roundabout over the motorway B6263 Wetheral At T junction turn right A69 Newcastle In village turn right into Sally`s café (CA4 8RN) Leave Sally`s turn right A69 Newcastle Next roundabout turn right A69 Newcastle On the bypass turn right A689 Alston As you come into Alston turn right A689 Penrith T junction turn right A689 Penrith Once at summit pull in left at the Hartside viewpoint carpark Leave carpark turn left A689 Penrith At roundabout over A6 Shap Once leaving Shap on the left Greyhound pub (CA10 3PW) carpark at rear Meals to be ordered on the day at the pub Total distance of drive 82 miles
