I can't believe there isn't a thread for this already, but I can't find it... I have connected a smoke machine to the bellows inlet manifold side of the MAF (MAF removed!), and have a lot of smoke coming from under the inlet manifold somewhere - that hopefully explains the rough running, mild over heating, white sparkplug tips then... I suspect whatever the problem is, I am going to have to take the inlet manifold off to fix it, but are there any "its is always the..." contenders?
Now for a weird one... I have the throttle body heating coolant circuit disconnected (plumbing reconfigured because I am running on LPG as well, and need the heat for the evaporator), but smoke was also issuing from the coolant connections! I guess I am lucky it is disconnected and my coolant isn't going into the inlet manifold... but is this a common thing on a 968? Again it explains some of the symptoms above, and I think I can simply plug the ends, but intrigued to know if anyone else has had problems with this water-way?
