I have a 987.2 2.9, 2012, the air con is inoperative due to corrosion on the high and low pressure pipes which originate somewhere in the engine bay. Replacement is a seriously expensive job!
I have been advised by the garage (Northway btw) that they have been told by Porsche that the high pressure pipe is no longer available, they've run out and no immediate plans to remanufacture.
I'm guessing that there are numerous people not only in the UK, but around the World with similar aged cars in a similar position to me.
I was wondering if there are any other Forum members in the same boat as me and whether they have found a solution.
Apparently, there are people who can repair these pipes, by cutting out the corroded section and welding a new piece in, but Northway suggested that it makes refitting difficult and it's better to replace the part.
I'm heading down to the South of France in a couple of weeks and my dream of going down in air-conditioned comfort have been dashedñ
