I've recently purchased some lightly used BBS CH-Rs for my 2003 Turbo; 8.5x19 et 51 and 11x19 et 56. Offsets are as close to original spec (8x18 et 50, 11x19 et 45) as BBS offer for the wide-body, so I'm looking for advice, hopefully based on experience, on the recommended tyre sizes and spacers I should use to avoid the tyres rubbing or the rims fouling on the struts/callipers.
Current plan is to keep the tyre widths the same but with reduced profile at the front, so 235/35 r19 with a 7mm spacer and 295/30 r19 at the rear with a 12 or 15mm spacer, does that sound right?
Someone mentioned that I may have to get the ecu reprogrammed to recognise the larger diameter at the rear?
