adjustable struts

my 1986 2.5 lux has adjustable front struts was this a standard fitment or has someone upgraded them

Probably not standard, but possibly M474 which was Sport Suspension. A picture of the dampers and the option sticker would help.

Can't tell from your pictures although looks like your struts are leaking bad.
Early factory adjustable struts are very rare and this is how they look

hi,
thanks for the replies, i have not got adjustable struts (doh)
they do look like they are leaking but i had just sprayed them with degreaser

Defenitely a standard early style strut.

Here's my modified late style strut for early style insert.
