Dan, from what I've read, the stock cam for the turbo is more than good enough, no point in changing it. It may be beneficial on an N/A but not the turbo for most power gain applications. Only really of use (debatable) if looking for massive power gains.

I was very happy before my cylinder split right through , so I would say afterbthe tune with Wayne I’d like to concentrate on handling more and rebuking my bushes all over, not that it needs it but it’s reasurabce for how old they must be ??

unless wayne tells me I need to purchase something else of course

I think the only thing that Wayne will want to see is that Wideband sensor, as long as that's there, he'll be happy. Oh, he may mention an EBC for getting the most out of his tune, not crucial though and can easily be added later......:)

I’ve ordered the AEM wideband kit and is arriving tommorow?? just need to get some gas for the welder to weld on the bung!

Would you recomend 400mm from the tailpipe or 400mm from the turbo or down pipe for best monitoring/ or another distance or shouldn’t it really matter??
Everything has its ideal position and I would hate to get it wrong

it's not crucial other than avoid where Porsche have a bung, that's too close to heat.. as you know, mine is in the tailpipe, on the curve that goes over the torsion bar, electronics are in the boot.

???????? ta mate

It makes sense to fit the bung in the exhaust close to the gear lever hole. Simpler to thread the wiring through to the gauge from there.

Ok, Steel liners then.........?
Yes they are much different to the Silicone impregnated Reynolds Aluminium bores (Alusil)
Are you using a stock Cam? Web Cams (California) due a Mild upgraded one (274 Duration) which with a Flowed 2.5 head gave me +40bhp
on a Normally aspirated 2.7 engine. (All on stock Bosch Fueling / Ignition & AFM)
R
It's Silicon, Silicone is something else entirely.

Yes.......

Yes. I snapped off a lug on a spare block using a stud extractor. Not sure if that would have happened without the Silicon content.
