Hi, can anyone suggest a suitable high temp adhesive to stick some matting to the inside of the bonnet on my 944 turbo please? Is this material actually neccesary? If i took it out would i run into problems?

Most people allow it to come off!
It's not really necessary, but a real pain to fully remove with the glue.......

Thanks Mike, is there any issue with high temp from the turbo? Tempted to remove the lining but it seems to have a shiny heat reflective bit on one side.

My 1991 S2 has no insulation on the hood (has shiny metal liner on the inner wheel wells by the exhaust) and there is a sticker on the underside of the hood about the middle about 1/3 of the way to the front. It looks like there has never been insulation there - no glue residue, etc. Mine came from Japan tho - limited option model - no sunroof, cruise control, etc.

I don't think my 88 turbo ever had it. I wouldn't bother mate. The only problem it could cause I suppose would be paint problems but it doesn't unless you have had a crap repair done.
