Access to Battery

I have Boxster S 2000 reg. A couple of days ago my ignition switch would not start the car and windows kept moving up and down. I had new ignition part fitted but could not access front compartment to get to flat battery and charge it. Used fuse box to try and move lever on door sill by connecting to fuse box part and door catch - did not work. Anybody have any suggestions please. Kieran

Hi if you open your bonnet by a manual lever in the door sill, you should be able to locate the cable in the front offside wheel arch. Pull the cable and the bonnet latch should open.

You want a good charged battery to link across and leave the battery on for 5 mins before trying. Sometimes it doesnt always work straight away.

Hi - thanks for suggestion. Could not find cable in front offside wheel arch to pull. The manual lever is not working. Kieran

Hi - Thanks for suggestion. I cannot gain access to the car's battery as apparently I have no power at all. Kieran

What deano911 is referring to is ... the second battery that you use to connect to the fuse box & door catch - that will then power the bonnet opening lever
