A VERY SAD DAY.........

Ex Skyline

New member
.........It most certainly is. "Yobo" left my ownership today and, now resides in Worcester. It was with mixed emotions that I watched Him roar off into the Sunset with a massive grin on the new owners face[:D]. We have been through a lot together and, I shall miss Him. However, the new owner is a bl00dy nice bloke and is a Split Screen Dub fanatic! He also ain't short of a few bob and will give Him a loving home (He already has three others in his stable!!). I couldn't have asked for a better purchaser. Anyway, the 25k in cash Stuart (the new owner) gave me softened the blow some what [;)]. Good luck "Yobo" and Stuart, I hope you'll both be very happy and have lots of fun together [:D]. I'm just off for a little private cry [:(].

Always sad when you have to say goodbye to a loved one [:(] Group hug Pete

Glad it's gone to a decent chap though

Nooo, you got rid in the end?

However, it is always nice when it seems the car has gone into good hands, at least IME :).

can you put up a couple of photo's of yobo ? and a wee spec if poss.

love those splits

Colin, i'm crap at posting photo's as everyone on here knows. However, i'm sure someone on here will do the honours (Andy Watson maybe ?). ChasR, "Yobo" isn't the '44 mate, He's much, much harder than those [8D]. Andy, I've got someone coming to have a butchers at the Turbo on Saturday mate and, if he likes what he see's and can come up with the Wonga then, the Turbo's a gonner too. Only I probably wont be quite so upset. That said I went out the other day on a nice sunny afternoon and, the Turbo performed brilliantly [8D]. He was so exciting to drive I started to get confused about my reasons for wanting to sell him [8|]. If I don't get the full asking price on Saturday, i'm taking him down to Jon's place next week for the Winter, with a big list of mod's and, i'm going to keep him and, try to forget all about Caterhams and such like [;)]! Andy (Hairyarse),me and yob' have been through a lot together, He was like a favourite Son to me, and now He's.........gone (Boo, Sob).........!

It's horrible when you watch someone else drive away in your Pride and Joy, but tempered when you know it is going to a good home...

Had you posted this on PH then I would feel obliged to mention that I was heeling toeing, trail braking, and drifting with a touch of opposite lock in this photograph.

Don't be silly. If you'd said that on PH someone would explain to you that heel & toeing is impossible in a 944. [;)]
