Dom,
I have a 987 Cayman with sports seats and do not suffer with those problems even though I can feel the seat pushing on my shoulders, I'm slim so maybe that's why it doesn't affect me in the way it does you. I can't suggest a cure though, but as an experiment could you use something to line the seat to move you away from the seatback? I have in mind those sort of mesh/wicker looking things that old fogies use(d).
Alternatively, rather than altering the seat perhaps altering the steering wheel position may help? Otherwise your only option may be to buy standard seats and sell yours.
Andrew.
