A MANNING INSURANCE COVER !!!

OllieW

New member
I'm posting this on behalf of Jason as he's currently in Portugal trying to top up his tan!!!

He rang me to say that his insurance company A MANNING are not covering the Spa weekend even though they originally claimed it would be covered. Seems that any European event is not part of their policy.

He wants to arrange a single event trackday cover for the Spa day, does anyone know who does this type of cover?

Thanks

Ollie

Ok Ill clear this up - thanks Ollie for posting.

The Spa weekend next weekend is not covered by A Manning (the PCGB Spa days and ATDO ones are) - I just wanted people to know that the weekend organised by Porsche Club Francochamps on 25-27 May is not. I did not make it very clear to Ollie in the message I left him.

I am however pretty annoyed at A Manning for 3 reasons:-

1. When I took my cover out I originally checked it was knowing we were all going - they advised it was and all professionally organised European days were (they were obviously too vague in their description!)

2. When I double checked (you may be aware Ive already had one small bump this year) called them on Tuesday they also confirmed it was.

3. I triple checked on Wednesday as the Tuesday conversation was not that reassuring and they didnt seem to know what dates were and what werent - they were still unsure so I had to send them the PCF details so they could check.

So does anyone know an insurer that will insure the weekend separately? If I cant get it at a good price Ill have no option but to cancel. (Ollie is the Chunnel refundable???)

Starting to wish Id stayed with Classic Line but given my track luck or lack of ability in getting onto bloody one might just sell the cars and by a ruddy boat!

HELP!

Hey ho at least Im in portugal.....where Ive only been waiting for my room to be ready for 6 hours....the day could not get worse

Have you spoken to Darren at ClassicLine to see if they can do a one off policy for Spa yet? It would be my first call.

Don't think the Chunnel is refundable, you'll have to come anyway and passenger around instead of drive or just take it easy!

Jason
The other option as many of have been doing for years is just to wing it. Fortune does after all favour the brave & what's the chance of you having another crash this year? Got to be fairly low.

Cheers Ollie - if Chunnel was refundable it give me the option of trying to do the Autotrack weekend on the 6th7th...I need options!

Andy youre just tempting fate mate!

competition car insurance. I have used them in the past. Not cheap but neither is a bent car.Of the two options CCI is better than the latter.

RESULT!!

Managed to get A.Manning to cover me for this weekend separately for a small premium.(all 3 days even though I'm only doing 1 though![])

I've told them they need to look into this for next year and I think they are going to.....

Anyway...bring it on!
