First of all may I thank members that attended the first talk last night. We all seemed to agree that it was a most enjoyable evening and are looking forward to the next part of the talk.

To all members, you are invited to part two of the talk to be held at The Bridge Inn, Walshford, Wetherby, LS22 5HS on Monday 14 Nov at 7.30 pm. Please sign up below as usual. The event is well worth attending and will certainly prove to be another most enjoyable evening.

I agree 100% with what Chris has said.
I thought I had a pretty good knowledge of the history of the British car industry, at least the marques that eventually finished up in the British Leyland camp.but I learned a lot from Paul Adey’s talk.
It was a pity and in my opinion rather embarrassing to the club that the audience was so small.
I‘m looking forward to Part 2 which I’m sure will be just as interesting and informative. We are promised a reference to Porsche too.
It’s free for members to attend and I’d urge anyone with an interest in the British car industry to come to the talk on 14th November.
 
My diary has been marked for Part 2. I used the Swallow Sidecars/SS/Jaguar link last night!

Hopefully with no conflicting weddings for the second part of this, we will be in attendance.

Hello Chris,

Jonathan and I will be attending the second part of the British Motoring talk. The first part was fascinating, showing how interlinked all the BMC companies were and I'm especially interested in the second, as I used to own a Rootes Group car back in the late 70's!
