I've drawn up a bit of a snagging list with my local mechanic (leaking diff, leaking rad and a few other bits and bobs), however there are a few things that I wouldn't mind putting past the forum for a bit of advice!!?? [8|]
Drivers window doesn't work (surprise surprise). I've checked the switch which is fine and had the door card off. I can hear a click when the switch is operated, however if you put your hand on the motor there is no evidence of any effort to move. I was hoping that the mechanism had seized, however apart from a click from somewhere the motor seems to be dead. I tried tapping with a.... er hammer.. in the hope it would burst into life, but no joy... any ideas? If it's a motor does anyone have one they would like to sell (everything on Ebay is for the passenger side)!
The car seems really sloppy at the rear end. We looked at the bushes which seem fine so can only guess that the shocks are a little tired. Is there anything else that should be looked at?
The paint seems a little milky in places (Guards Red) and I get the impression that this is a common thing for this colour. Is it just a case of giving it a bit of T-Cut to sort it out for a year or so or do I need to accept that I will soon be the proud owner of a pink Porsche? [

Any common problems with leaking diffs? Is is a case of renewing the drive-shaft seals or is it likely to be something else?
This is a bit of a weird one..... the windscreen bonding has failed along the bottom of the screen. It doesn't leak at all, however over bumps and when you close the door you can see the screen move (very disconcerting but something the local glass man can hopefully fix) just wondered if this is a common problem which may come back?
Is it just me or is there not a massive amount of power assistance from the steering? I may be worrying unnecessarily but it seems fairly heavy for a PAS vehicle. Perhaps it's because its a drivers car which requires a bit more feel through the steering wheel.
Has anyone seen my style of BBS wheels before? I wondered if they were accessory wheels as i doubt they are factory fit, or if one of the previous owners woke up one morning to find the car on bricks and decided to nip to his/her local wheel specialist (on the bus obviously)?
Finally guages....... The oil pressure guage is one down from the top (4 I think) does this sound high? Also the engine temp guage is on the first notch (approx 1/3) is this low?
So many questions from a novice owner...... I bet you all remember when you were wet behind your Porsche ears!!!!
Anyway, I should draw this post to a close before you all drop off, so any assistance would be gratefully received!
