A blast from the past

Hi Paul, I was just reading the Rutland thread and would like to come, I am hoping to get the white car out of hibernation on that Sunday if I can, if it runs and if the weather is good (who'd have thought it would become a garage queen) then it'd be great to give it a run up.

Now I am even more upset I can't come. Would love to have seen that one in the flesh. Oh I guess I will just have to settle for Mike's Pics.

Believe me Rob you would -

Thanks David. It's a real hoot to drive, and I'm really at the start of the process still. Lots more still to be done, it needs to be professionally mapped for a start and ultimately the engine replacing (which was rather tired even before SCing). Unfortunately I got quite badly shafted by a business partner a few years back so it had to go on the back burner, but time permitting I hope to get a bit more done this year and get to drive it more often (probably only managed about 300 miles last year).

Blummin 'eck I've got hair!!!!!

A few years later we resorted to cheap underage labour as pit crew

Was that Croft?

Yes, that was the day you drove 4 hours from Glasgow, Frenchy drove 3 hours from the Lakes and Tony about 5 hours from the south coast

4th July 2001 according to the date stamp on some of my pictures [] God we're old!

How about pictures of the Lake District jaunt?

Those were the (Titanic) days

Just had quick look at old Titanic list and wonder how many still have 944's

I remember on the way to Croft there were a few of us in a layby and in came a Traffic cop. He said he was going to do me for the tyres (pointing to the MPSC's in the boot)

Is Titanic still on the go ? as since i have got through various PC and laptops, i could not log on mind you that was a few years ago, i remember that 968 Turbo @ Croft, is that the same Dougie who had the Red S2 ?
