a bit less yellow

I see you have replaced your cigarette lighter. How much and from where?

I wanted to order a replacement cigarette lighter button from OPC but they only sell the complete unit with housing and button at a cost of £43.35 after discount []

Oil - the short answer is I can't see it! But I don't need to. With 320 or so bhp it pretty obvious when you are "on boost"!

I've only kept it so that it can be used for engine management or boost set-up work, and in these cases the boost gauge would be monitored by the chap in the passenger seat with the lap top on his, er, lap.

The reality is that for 99% of the time the information provided by the additional boost gauge is of no interest or relevance to me, so inside the glove box seemed the most appropriate place.

Ah. Interesting, thanks. I have often wondered that the point of a boost gauge is; whenever I have driven a turbocharged car it has always been an irrelevance to me, but I wondered whether seasoned drivers of such things actually find a day-to-day use for them. However you have confirmed my suspicions - thanks!

Oli.

I look at mine (but its on the a pillar so quick glance is easier) when the boost controller went wrong I was interested to see it reading 30+psi (wheelspin in 3rd on a damp road) and also I had a boost leak that lead to maximum boost slowly trailing from 18psi to 15. I also kept my narrow band AFR there which saved me on a trackday when the vacuum line came of the FPR.

I do find them to dangerous to read in the cubby location though

I like both the before and the after.

I'd like the before even more if the car itself was speed yellow to match [8D]

Simon - have you got a part number for the 12v socket please?

Tony - did you modify the a-pillar yourself or buy a part from somewhere. I know lindsey sell them for LHD models but a RHD version would be great.

It is a universal one I trimmed to fit, I am on a very slow connection in cyprus at the moment so I cant find a picture

found one on my pc, not the best pic
