A Big Thank You.

I had a few problems at Harewood today, and at one stage it looked like the day would be a write off until two of our fellow forum members got their hands dirty and helped me. What a father and son team you are!
Colin (Vitesse) and Nick (Appleton) the beers (and swarfega) are on me next time, I doubt I would have been able to sort the car without your help. Thank you. Then to top the day off I got 2nd in class what a result.

Cheers guys you really helped make the day (even though you left before the heavens opened[][][])

Peter, you're more than welcome, although I don't think we were that much help - glad you managed to salvage that 2nd place in class, to a 600bhp turbo-nutter machine!

Great venue and we both really enjoyed ourselves!

Peter,I think Nick would agree that having some minor input into helping you really helped both of us to enjoy the day a great deal more,also provided useful background info for when we tackle front suspension work.A big bonus that you should also get 2nd in class.

However ,we don't do Rain.[][][].good to meet your Dad--Vitesses'---Respect!

My first guess is the camber adjuster undid itself...????? + reset the geo.????

Dave, you are spot on, the annoying thing is I had all the geo done on Thursday and they just did not tighten the bolts up enough. Without the help of Colin and Nick passing spanners, jacking the car up and helping with the visual " it looks about right" I would really have struggled to get the car sorted for the afternoon timed runs.

As for flattering pics, I guess you are right, but I think there are probably worse pics of me out there!!!![] [][]

Pete, thats exactly what happened to me at Donny last year...
I hope you had some paint marks to re-alighn the adjuster.????

That is an excellent idea-Peter,once you have got them correct,a little white line here & there gives a clue.Did this on the 964 when I removed the RHS radius arm to replace the rear wheel hub bearing.

Alas I had not got these settings marked, After having them done on Thursday I did not have time to mark them up. However I am now looking at this as a blessing in disguise. I will get the geo set up slightly more aggresivly again as well as investing in a camber tool myself for future use.

Anyone that has the geo set should mark up the bolts as soon as they are happy with the set up. (previously I have ended up with differnent coloured marks for different set ups!!)

It's Maritime Blue, my favourite colour. If only Tony would sell his Cab! []
