999 C4 Tyres

I am just about to re-tyre my 996 (2001) C4. It has Dunlops on at moment. Does anyone have any experience of other tyre brands - whether they are noisy, hardwearing, prone to tramline etc? I remember from years ago transforming a Golf GTI by putting Goodyear NCT's on it. Thanks, David

I have Pirelli PZero's and they are a little on the noisy side (at the back) seem to last ok though
 
Can highly recommend Michelin Pilot Sport N1's - replace PZero's with these & the noise is much reduced. Grip is fantastic, wet or dry.
 
I had Michelin Pilot Sports on the S4 and changed to P-Zero Rossos...... to be honest they saved me £30 a corner, so that was why I made the move, but the tyre wear was MUCH worse and they were a little vague in the dry.

Have MPS on the 996 and can't fault them.
 
On the recommendation of my friendly tyre centre I have been brave and gone for GS-D3 Goodyears: These are apparently not N-rated, but they are the quietest tyres I've ever used and have the best wet grip... They also look as though they will significantly outlast the Contis, P-Zeros, and Pilot Sports I've tried before (10,000 miles and still less than half worn at the rear). OK, so I haven't tracked this car (yet), but I don't hang about!
