997 weekend in Wales - 20/21 October

I will be looking into timings this weekend.
I will also perhaps look into a suggested place for those on the Friday night, we stopped just up the road from Chester OPC last time I was in the area, also a great time to visit the designer discount centre (apparently [:eek:])

a couple of things!
1. Hotel Beaufort Palace, mold. 5 mins off A55 and 15 mins to Pondarosa
2. Can an ex 997 owner tag along for the Saturday please as you are 15 minutes away for me!

Hows the transformation from Hoss to Little Joe going? All that cattle out there and you can't eat one of them!

By Christmas Fred I'll be trading the shire horse in for a race horse! It is like serving time! Living off lettuce leaves must be like coming off a class A drug, god its hard work![:D][8|]

The departure time is 10.30am, I'm having a Breakfast (at least [:)]) so will probably arrive at 9-9.30 depending on traffic.

The BBC has the weather outlook as excellent with clear Blue skies and 16 degrees, heres hoping it stays that way.

Also Beaufort Palace suggested earlier in the thread for the Friday night has rooms available via lateroom.com for £50

To add we are aware that there is a somewhat important Rugby match on during Saturday evening so may work things around that for those interested [;)] (we beat the French so that was more than enough for me [:D])

btw we're staying at Ruthin Castle on Friday night, through booking.com or laterooms.com. Bit more at £95 for a double but a lovely old hotel.

 
Just seen this thread - hope you all have a good time in Welsh Wales - avoid the sheep! Unfortunately I won't be able to join you as currently working in Austria [:(] I'm flying home on Sat, but then I'm off to Barbados on Sun[8D] - Hard life!

Hi all,

I'm arranging a driving weekend around Wales for the early Porsche crowd on DDK and I'm trying to educate myself as to the delights of Welsh roads. Is there any chance you can share some of the highlights that I can string a route together around?

I've already logged the Devils staircase, the horseshoe pass near the Ponderosa and some moorland stretches near Festiniog, is there anything else you can recommend or (cheeky question [:D]) share your route plan with me?

Are steps in place to avoid Mad Mullah Brunstrom and his heinous Traffic Taliban, who are rumoured to be hiding out in the mountains of Northern Wales. Perhaps we should arrange for air support.
A convoy of Porsche will undoubtedly bring forward all their Christmases at once!!![:(][:(][:(] We should be told. [>:]

Luckily for us the majority of the roads are scary enough and full of twisites to make a legal speed an enjoyable drive, putting the flowing curves together should more than enough make up for the lack of any high end spirited driving [;)]

After the EVO triangle we follow the road voted one of the best driving roads in the UK into mid wales, giving the V to commander numbstrom and his fellow highway men.

I'll be at the front so getting any bonus points available on the day [:'(]

Gary, I have the routes available on Autoroute 2007 so can email them to you (once we know they work [&:])
