or anyone considering uprating their brakes....
I've always liked the brakes on my tt, very progressive, no fade and effective. The car is 2001 with lowish mileage and has been 100% trouble free, pretty much as new. But the car has had a Manthey chip (plus Europipe stage2)and with 570+ lb/ft it's ferociously quick. So i recently decided to upgrade the brakes.
I went for gt3 6pot calipers (and associated discs, pads), kept the hoses but put in SRF fluid. I went to ProMax (near MK)who i've used for some years and they are always excellent, honest and not expensive.
The result has been really impressive... still very progressive, but unbelievably effective (if carrying a passenger, strongly suggest they adopt the brace position...!) and without losing any of the feel, giving total confidence.
