996 intermittant electrical fault

Hi all - My 1999 996 has an intermittant electrical fault which is draining the battery and subsequently triggering the alarm. If it happens when Im home I can at least disconnect the battery but if Im out then the alarm will finish the battery off completely. Ive taken to connecting an Accumate battery charger/conditioner but even that has not prevented the discharge from the battery. I have had three new batteries in 6 months, its been to a respected Porsche Independent Specialist and they've had an electrician check everything but the discharge hasnt happened whilst its been with them (three times totalling 6 weeks). Has anyone had such a problem and did you get it solved?
