996 Cab RS skirts + spoiler

Hi all,

Having recently sold my 993, I am now thinking about the 996. A good friend of mine has a 1998 carrera cabriolet, which has the RS skirts and front spoiler, which I am considering buying. But the skirts are putting me off.

Is it expensive to get those taken off and replaced with OEM side skirt and front spoiler?

Any views or websites I would gratefully appreciate.

Cheers,
JP

As far as I know, the Aerokit side skirts are just stuck and clipped on, so you could probably just remove them to expose the standard sill underneath. The front spoiler is part of the front PU, and I guess you could swap it for a standard one. If you looked for a second hand one on eBay, I would expect you could find one for £250-ish, plus the same again to have it painted and fitted. I would wager there would be a dozen people on here who would be interested in buying an aerokit front spolier and sill covers, so the overall cost wouldn't be too bad.
