hello gents.
I'm in need of some good advice as I'm sure to find here.
All happened last Sunday (a shiny one that made me keen for a drive!).
Symptoms are very very similar to this : https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1022976
I quote :" everything absolutely normal but then as I went round a left hand corner and accelerated the engine revs went high/screamed and I lost all gears and had to coast to a stop. No warning lights, engine starts and runs okay but it just won't engage any gears including reverse and no difference on manual. The gear selection does show on dashboard but it's just as if it was in neutral or what you'd expect with a clutch depressed"
I gently pulled over on the hard shoulder, then switched between manual and automatic, 2nd gear indicator went back and I could drive again. That makes me think no mechanical damages in the gearbox, but some faulty electric part (gear selector or throttle pedal ?). Have you ever experienced the same?
thanks for sharing. I don't know where to start and honestly I'm afraid to go back on the road right now!
Pierre.
