993 Targa split rim alloy rimbolts - supplemental question

Reference my previous post - I have succeeded in sourcing (and now have had delivered) new high tensile zinc-coated rimbolts and flanged nuts which will enable me to replace the existing items. Does anyone know to what torque they should be tightened? [My local OPC doesn't know].

was told 12 pound /feet torque if that makes sense

Brian - an alternative torque figure was quoted to me as 20 lb/ft. Was your source authoritative?

just phoned my source and he said depends on the length and if it was M6/8 but reconned 18/20 would be fine ,said make sure shoulders are spotless and take care removing them.did say if you can get wheels to a powder coater putting them in the oven will loosen them off with a bit of heat .

Thanks again Brian; info from all sources suggests that 20Nm would be the torque setting to aim for. Measured by tightening the nut; the bolt itself remains static (held by the hex allan key).
